What we are about
Savers is a charity (No. 1108191), representing many sectors of the community. Members meet regularly to develop cross sector projects both locally and nationally, to reduce energy and water consumption and promote environmental sustainability.
Objectives
In addition to this Savers aim to:
- Inform businesses, residents and public sector managers of practical techniques to improve their environmental performance and of the potential savings from more effective management of energy and water use.
- Monitor citywide energy and water consumption and to devise and publish performance targets.
- Promote sustainable energy and water conservation programmes within local organisations and to target wastage of these resources.
- Publicise local achievements in reducing energy and water consumption and promote the use of energy and water saving devices.
- Monitor the adverse effects of local energy and water wastage and propose cost effective remedial strategies.
